A Walk in Darkness

A Walk in Darkness

A walk in darkness

Out of the blue

The loudness of insects

Was silenced  by You.

Headlamp on

Trusty Ghost scouts ahead

Soon by water

I lifted my head.

The swirl of the Milky Way

As if chords stuck just right

Scattered the stars

what an absolute delight

I stood in silence

Gazed up above,

The shimmer of Your glory

Even twinkled thru the trees

Such splendor in the darkness

No night can hold the Light

A shooting star flew by

I will not go gently into

The night

Nor allow the dying of

The Light.

It's times as these

I take a breath

 feel Father hold me tight.

I walk by faith in darkness

From within I carry Light.
